songs to play for company when they came over.  Seemed like once they found out my Wakefield history, they wanted to hear a tune...so I worked up a few songs that I could play for company at home in my living room.

It was really after I first returned to SD that I began contemplating playing solo.  I had really only been a keyboard player in a band, and I still consider myself Wakefield's keyboard player as Wakefield still performs occasionally (a few times a year is just enough to satisfy my Wakefield rock n roll itch). I have only recently agreed to participate in a couple new music projects that focuses on music from my grade-school through college years (go back to the home page and click on the Guilty Pleasures and the JETT tabs to learn more).

In 2017, Wakefield was inducted into the SD Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by the South Dakota Music Association.  It was an honor to be recognized for the many years of gigging throughout the Midwest.
