What measurement determines a successful SD band? Is it….

oThe number of years they were together?
oThe number of gigs they played?
oThe amount of money they made?
oThe miles they traveled?
oThe music they created?
oHow often their music was played on the radio?
oThe fun they had?
oThe fun their fans had?
oThe attendance records they broke?
oThe infrequency of member changes?
oThe influence they had on other musicians?
oTheir technical skill and musicianship?
oThe loyalty of fans decades later?

All these are good measurements, and by any of them, Wakefield was a successful SD band

But if you played Rock music in the 80’s the most important measurement was…. How cool your hair looked!

Check it out! (Have Album Back On Video Screen)

After the band, when I cut my hair short, I really couldn’t believe how long my neck was!

When I got the call that we were going to be inducted… some 5 or 6 months ago…. I stopped cutting my hair

This is as long as it got … and with a little coloring to hide the emerging gray … and being above everyone to hide my bald spot …. It still really just doesn’t compare!

Thank the band guys …. They are my brothers …. If I could go back, and do it all over again …. I would …. The only thing I would change is…. I would add the becoming rich and famous part!
